[PRESENTLY DORMANT] Ultimate Trance with Full Vocals List. (Warning: Quite a bit of Cheese Involved)

...you disgrace trance music.

Which I say even though I also have a "best vocal songs" list (haven't got around to ordering it yet, though.)

However, I alsways have suggestions (as you should know by now ;))

Now, these are quite possibly two of the most brilliant vocal tunes I've evr heard, hands down.

"Perception"- Cass & Slide (New Vocal Mix)

and

"Dreaming Of You"- Thrillseekers

Here are a some that come to mind which you may want to add, the better I think they are the higher up I put them:

1. Ultraviolet- Kites (Fantasy Flite Part One) (This one is a potential top 10)
2. Holden & Thompson- Come To Me (Club Mix)
3. Vernon- Wonderer
4. Fuzzy Logic- Obsession (Quantum Loop Mix) (This is really Progressive House but I love this song so much that I'm suggesting it)
5. Jayn Hanna- Lost Without You
6. Matt Darey- Beautiful
7. Libra Presents Taylor- Calling Your Name (The most vocal version is the Ferry Corsten Mix even though I prefer the original mix)
8. Opus III- Hand In Hand (Perfecto Mix)
9. Nootropic- I See Only You (Nootropic Mix)
10. Jase From Outta Space- Do What You Want (Infusion's Sky Mix)
11. Paul Van Dyk- Alive (Vocal Vandit Mix) (This Epic trance song can get pretty annoying though)

Synaesthesia? Wow. One of my favourite songs and i've never heard a single word being uttered. What version of it do you have.

Some of your distinctions seem a bit arbitrary.

For example, what makes Aurora - Real Life so different from Aurora - Ordinary World? For that matter, why are DHT and DJ Sammy, aka: the FLAGSHIPS of what you'd call "epic housetrance" on the main list?

And why are James Holden - Nothing, and Karen Overton - Your Loving Arms qualified (which are straight progressive house tunes with trancier leanings), but none of the "House songs with Trancey Elements" (aka progressive house tunes) are?

And how is Faithless - Insomnia not vocal enough (it has verses and a chorus, that's about as vocal as you can get) when ATB - Marrakech and Alice Deejay - The Lonely One are? There's WAY more vocals in Insomnia than either of those tracks. There's rapping in Insomnia, BTW.

This is why I never undertook a list like this...the line between vocal and non-vocal trance blurs so badly that it ends up just not mattering. Besides, vocals are beside the point with trance music...you could split hairs with what is and isn't vocal all day long, but when it comes down to it, they aren't even really the focus of the song.

You could solve your problem by limiting the list to trance with a pop structure, or by including every trance song that has words in it. Either way, at the moment the list doesn't really say anything, since your 4 lists overlap each other so much that they may as well not even be distinct sections.

It's a good idea for a list, I'd just suggest limiting it to one side (pop structure) or the other (any words in there at all) so people can use the list to find trance of a particular type. Of course, that invites a "what qualifies as words" issue. Like does a woman sighing count as a word? What about words cut up beyond recognition? Yeah, it's tough.

Just want to let you know, that in terms of a vocal Trance list, I think you've done an exellent job.It's not easy to List your favourate "Vocal Tracks", without creating some sort of disagreeable friction.Many Trance tunes also border on being Cheesey to some, and catchy to others, which also contrives the matter.So, any person looking to draw up a list, like this one, is predestined to be surrounded by controversy.
I think it's great that you included tracks, such as:
*Oceanlab - Clear Blue Water(Ferry Corsten Remix)
*Armin - Yet Another Day(Rising Star Edit)
*4 Strings - Into The Night(Take Me Away)
*Madelyne - Beautiful Child
*Sarah Maclachlan - Sweet Surrender(Tiesto Remix)
*Kate Ryan - Scream For More
*ATB - I Don't Wanna Stop
*4 Strings - Turn It Around (Though I do prefer the original make)

I do, however wonder why you have'nt included other tracks, namely:
*Gouryella - Ligaya
*Alex Bartlett - Angel
*Ratty - Sunrise
*Aven - All I Wanna Do(Ferry Corsten Remix)
*White Water - The Unknown
*Filo & Peri - Closer Now[not a brilliant song, but good vocals]

I do agree that "BT - Force Of Gravity" is to Housey, but the "Tiesto Mix" should be worthy of a place.

Another good Vocal Trance song is:
"DUG Ft Bjork - The Anchor Song(Trance Edit)"
I don't think it was released onto vinyl, as it's a bootleg, and therefore would only be accessable via "P2P Download".

Second Last song which should make the list, is the Bootleg collboration between "Rank 1 - Airwave(Dutch Force Mix)" and "Kylie Monogue - True Love Never Dies".(The song was banned, and later copied by "Flip n Fill".)

The last song, is a very difficult song to obtain, and it's called:
"Friday Night Posse - It's a Fine Day vs. Voodoo & Serano".
It's basically a collaborated mixture of the vocals of "It's a Fine Day" and "Voodoo & Serano - Blood Is Pumping".It's Not bad at all.
